Renaissance Festival Concord, NC

There are many Renaissance festivals held throughout the world.  You can find a listing of one in your area by clicking here.   This is one that has been in existence for 10 years now near Charlotte, NC.   The facility is about 18 acres in the middle of the Forrest between Concord, NC and Huntersville, NC.   More information about the festival can be found on their website.   Marlene had never been to one of these and I thought it might be a neat thing for the afternoon. Sean went to one several years ago in Pennsylvania and still owns a kilt from that trip. No. He did not wear it for this event. However, he is trying to convince Marlene to think about wearing a costume in the future.

The Festival is an explosion of sights and sounds. In addition to village street and pathway events, the Festival has several stages of ongoing shows performing every half-hour. From the daily opening ceremony to the closing cannon shot, every Festival minute and every Festival acre is filled with mirth, merriment and marketplace exhibitions. (From the festival website).  We can both recommend Don Juan and Miguel.  The two are truly a riot.  The have a website where you can find their schedules.

It was a great experience and we hope to be doing this again next year.
