Home Up

Sunday October 12th.

We decided to head downtown. The Charlotte Trolley is run by a non-profit organisation and runs from Charlotte's south end to what will eventually be the "Uptown Arena" in Downtown Charlotte.  Eventually the trolley lines will be converted into a light rail line that runs from I-485 to downtown (uptown to the locals) Charlotte.

Later that evening we went to a dinner at Debbie and Dan's house.  Marlene got to see some old friends and meet new ones.

The trolley line has been shortened due to some design errors at the Westin hotel. The repairs should be finished end of October.

You don't see this everyday. College Street was blocked off so they could do work on the top of the BB&T center

View of the conductor. The 'Motormen' are all volunteer right now. That will probably change when the trolley line is converted to light rail.

We had dinner at a friend house on Sunday night. From left to right: Yasmin, Hans, Danny (Standing), Anna, Dan (standing), Michael, and Marlene
